Currently, both organizations are working to improve the living conditions of a total of <\/span><b>920 people<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>23 schools<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>23 different villages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the area of the park.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objective of the program is, through educational and socio-sports support projects, to prevent female school dropouts in those rural populations where girls leave their education prematurely.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for the educational projects, the participants receive extracurricular support classes in:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Portuguese language and literature (the country&#8217;s official language)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Writing<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mathematics<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Environmental issues<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, participants take part in weekly social and sports training sessions utilizing the Real Madrid Foundation methodologies. This is a soccer program focused on women, which includes a total of 40 students. Of these, 30 are girls and 10 are boys.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The visit of representatives from Cruzda por los Ni\u00f1os and the Real Madrid Foundation coincided with the <\/span><b>start of the soccer championship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in one of the park&#8217;s communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delegates from both organizations met with coaches and participants of the program, as well as some local family members. The women were even invited to go on a <\/span><b>safari<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within Gorongosa National Park.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ignacio Campo from Cruzada por los Ni\u00f1os highlighted the importance that this type of program has both for the Mozambican communities and for our university here in Spain:<\/span><\/p><blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor us it is fundamental to have these types of programs to help raise awareness among our students. They become more aware of the significant needs that exist in other parts of the world.
